Help build the next generation of Canadian leadership.
NATO Youth Canada is seeking ambitious, driven, and globally minded students to found and lead official campus chapters at universities across Canada.
This is an opportunity for students passionate about international affairs, defence, security, diplomacy, leadership, politics, business, media, or global issues to create a lasting impact on their campus while building an exceptional leadership portfolio.
As a Campus Chapter Founder, you will launch and lead a local NATO Youth Canada chapter that connects students with national and international conversations surrounding NATO, Canada’s role in global security, innovation, diplomacy, Arctic sovereignty, cybersecurity, emerging technologies, and defence policy.

What You'll Do
- Establish an official NATO Youth Canada chapter at your university
- Recruit and lead a student executive team
- Organize events, panels, discussions, networking opportunities, and guest speakers
- Promote informed discussion on international affairs and security issues
- Collaborate with students across Canada and NATO partner countries
- Build relationships with faculty, student unions, community leaders, military personnel, diplomats, policymakers, and industry professionals
- Represent your university within a growing national youth network

Ideal Candidates
We are looking for students who are:
- Passionate about leadership and global issues
- Strong communicators and organizers
- Interested in NATO, defence, security, politics, international business, technology, and/or public policy
- Motivated to create something meaningful on campus
- Collaborative, professional, and entrepreneurial
Students from all academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled at a Canadian college or university
- Must be in good academic standing
- Previous leadership experience is considered an asset, but not required
- Must be willing to commit time to building and sustaining a campus chapter
